This week the first workshop to consolidate local clusters for Ecotourism starts in the protected areas of Cap de Creus, Aiguamolls, and Montgri Natural Parks in Catalonia (Spain). This is one of the 10 Mediterranean Experience of EcoTourism Product consolidation and coupons Sustainability Workshops jointly organised by the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation and the IUCN Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA) in the framework of the activities of the Mediterranean Experience of Eco-Tourism Network MEET).

The workshops, training sessions and park visits will involve stakeholders from public and private sector, including the project partners, government representatives, park managers, and local tour operators and service providers. This set will involve 22 protected areas spanning across eight Mediterranean MEET countries (Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Greece, Lebanon, Jordan and Tunisia).
